why the topic of feedback?

Feedback used to feel like an uphill battle for me. I’d hesitate to give it, afraid of hurting feelings or creating tension, and when I did, it was met with resistance. But everything changed when I started focusing on the other side of the equation: asking for feedback and learning to receive it myself. At first, it was tough—feedback sometimes felt like a personal attack, even when it was constructive. But over time, I realized that by embracing it, I was modeling the very behavior I wanted to see in others. When my team saw me actively seeking their input and acting on it, they became more open to my feedback as well. Our relationships deepened, collaboration flourished, and I became a more confident and empathetic leader. The shift was transformative—not just for me, but for my entire team. That’s why feedback matters. It’s not just a tool for improvement; it’s the foundation of great leadership.
